A new friend

The project that I did this week was about making a new friend and I had to do this piece of work by myself. This was my first time working with stop motion animation. The thing I need to improve on next time I use this app is to make sure that the camera is steadier. The props is used where my old white board and white board markers to draw the stick men and I had placed the whiteboard on top of a chair in my kitchen.

This video is 0.08 seconds long and there is a total of 43 shots. At 0.00 seconds there is a shot of two stick men one is sad and his mouth is frowning and the other one is happy with a smile on his face as if he is exited to meet and talk to new people. At 0.01 seconds he starts talking to the other boy and his sad face turns into a smile. The boy says, ' Do you want to come with me'. Then the other stick man that was originally sad replies,' Yeah, of course' at 0.06 seconds. When the stick men talk I drew their mouths into different shapes to make it look like they were actually talking.

 Through premiere pro I had dissolved the image to black, a black and white filter was used to represent the past and how simple most friendships start of. While the image was being dissolved to black the title, ‘New Friends’ appears at the end. (Felicia day, 2016) says , ' Social media is an amazing tool, but it's really face-to-face interaction that makes  long term impact,' This  quote shows the importance of talking and meeting new people in real life.
